While I was in the midst of making my Grandfather Clock, my sister Diane expressed an interest in having me make her a long-drop Regulator clock, since the one that she had gave up the ghost and died.  Gee ... who'd have thought you actually had to oil the mechanism every few years or so?  After we decided on the design specifications, I took a trip to Merritt's, a great place for getting clock goodies.

     And so began the next stage of enjoyable hobbies ... integrating mechanics and woodworking.
